Open day on the farm!

With just a few days before the start of winter we were a little nervous holding an open day as most Canberrans know anything after Anzac Day weather wise can be a toss of the coin so a month later we did have our fingers and toes crossed for a nice day.

Lucky for us and our engaged couples who were visiting the venue for the first time we had a picture perfect Autumn day to showcase the relaxed vibe the farm has to offer.

More than 30 couples took the opportunity to visit, stroll around the grounds, see the venue styled for a wedding and talk to us about how Petrichor farm could play a part in their wedding plans. Many couples spoke about how much they liked having exclusive access to the venue for their wedding day. While others just loved the relaxed and quiet vibe. The one common thread with the feedback was how beautiful the rustic look of the venue is and we certainly agree!

When we have an open day we like to offer couples the opportunity to not only see our space, enjoy what the farm has to offer but also sample our wine selection and food options. This time we had a bountiful grazing station set up with lots of different foods, cheeses and dips to try. The smokey pumpkin humus was a big hit as was the bleeding heart Shiraz.

Thank you again to all the couples who fell in love with Petrichor Farm and chose to book on the day, we looking forward to working with you all very soon and making your wedding day the most memorable it can be.

Our next open day will be in September 2021 so if you are thinking of getting married and looking for a luxe farm venue to host your special day follow us on Instagram so you can stay in the loop for when we announce the date.

Many thanks to the gang at all Grown Up weddings for the pics of the open day and for Lauren from Laural and Lace for doing a wonderful job with the floral designs and styling plus a big thank you to Finley Geach for her beautiful music!
